‘King Kong’ promises world title for Ghana

Former Ghanaian World Bantamweight Champion, Joseph ‘King Kong’ Agbeko, has promised Ghanaians he will deliver a world title after his next bout scheduled for December.
Agbeko put up a dominant performance to claim a unanimous victory over Tanzanian fighter, Haji Mwalugo Juma, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 28, 2016 to revive his career.
The bout was initially scheduled for August 27, but was postponed after it clashed with a concert at the Accra Sports Stadium whilst an initial non-title bout against Filipino, Cris Alfante, was also called off because of the ban on drumming and noise-making.
Revealing his plans after the fight, Agbeko said: “my hunger to win the world title again for Ghanaians is the reason and motivation to perk up my career again.”
Agbeko now with a record of 30 wins, 5 losses and 23 by way of knockouts, disclosed that plans are far-advanced for a bout in December this year.
